You will counsel leadership and engagement teams on the legal implications of data processing decisions — from architectural choices in S3-SENTINEL to contractual structures with government clients spanning multiple jurisdictions.
Your advisory practice will cover emerging data protection regimes including India's DPDP Act, Brazil's LGPD, China's PIPL, and evolving frameworks across the Middle East and Southeast Asia. You will anticipate regulatory shifts before they become compliance obligations, enabling proactive legal positioning across all operational territories.
This role demands a lawyer who combines deep technical understanding of data processing with the strategic vision to advise on data protection as a competitive advantage in sovereign-scale operations.
What You'll Do
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic legal counsel on data protection matters across 45+ jurisdictions for leadership and engagement teams
- Advise on data protection implications of S3-SENTINEL platform architecture and deployment decisions
- Review and advise on data protection clauses in government contracts, enterprise agreements, and partnership documents
- Monitor and analyze emerging data protection legislation across India, EU, US, and expanding operational jurisdictions
- Develop organizational data protection policies and frameworks that satisfy multi-jurisdictional requirements simultaneously
- Advise on data localization requirements and their impact on S3-SENTINEL infrastructure across countries
- Counsel on data breach notification obligations and lead legal response for data security incidents
- Support business development with data protection legal assessments for prospective engagements
- Coordinate data protection legal strategy with compliance, engineering, and operations teams
- Represent the organization in data protection regulatory proceedings and inquiries
What You Bring
Skills & Expertise
Required
- Qualified legal professional with specialization in data protection and privacy law
- Expert knowledge of at least 4 major data protection frameworks (GDPR, DPDP Act, CCPA, LGPD, or equivalent)
- Strategic advisory skills with ability to translate legal risk into business recommendations
- Experience advising on data processing agreements, cross-border transfers, and data localization
- Strong analytical skills for multi-jurisdictional regulatory analysis and comparison
